What is legal malpractice?
Return to FAQ VideosTranscript:
Legal malpractice is the failure of a lawyer to use reasonable care in representing a client’s interest, which results in harm or loss to the client. Merely exercising bad judgment or making a decision that doesn’t go in favor of the client’s position does not necessarily rise to the level of legal malpractice. It has to be conduct that causes the client to suffer a significant loss.
